Ted is a Science and Engineering Ambassador. He has spent many weeks teaching students of all ages. The main theme used by Ted is the science problems posed by Everest all of which have scientific solutions. Even courage has science behind it; so much easier to be courageous when fact tells us that the chances of death and failure are limited!
Lessons in life and leadership have been gained over many years in the mountains and in life as an RAF Officer. Ted has led teams in: Antarctica, north Face of the Eiger, numerous Himalayan expeditions including leading the climbing team for the 1st British ascent of Gimaghela and the RAF team to the North Ridge of Everest.
Everest offers so many challenges and opportunities for the bold. Ted allways leaves his audience with his own quote
“ Seek out life’s problems for they are the gateway to opportunity“.
