Oxygen

Did you know,- there is no less oxygen in the air at the summit of Everest; there is just less air (pressure). Approximately 2/3rds of the earths atmosphere is beneath your feet as you stand there – so 2/3rds of the worlds oxygen is there too.
Most people use Poisk equipment (cylider and regulator) with TopOut because it ‘does the job’. It is also universally available in 3 and 4 ltr cylinders. It’s pointless arriving on Everest with an incompatible system. Fine if you know that you will make only 1 attempt and that you will only use 3 cylinders. If this is the case then just buy 3 cylinders, but don’t run out of gas on the top because no one will be able to help you! There is normally extra gas available for sale at Base Camp and it is accepted that you can get ‘sale or return’ gas, so over order and give it back if not used (or sell it to someone who knew that they only needed 3 cylinders)!! Plan it, get it right; you only want to do this once.
All that said TopOut is available to fit all cylinder/regulator combinations.
